REGULATORY AND LEGISLATIVE UPDATE / ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT
Katherine Robertson Executive Director from MCTA (Massachusetts Chemistry & Technology Alliance)
Environmental Justice and Public Engagement: Critical Drivers for Coming Years
Environmental Justice: Highlighting Opportunities for Industry. Environmental justice is a major priority for both the Healey and Biden Administrations. Massachusetts has taken a leadership role on addressing these issues and has incorporated the impact of programs, policies and development on overburdened communities into its laws and regulations. From air and wastewater permitting to PFAS use, EJ considerations will have an increasing role in how you run your operations and what your responsibility will be to work with your neighbors. This session will include a presentation of public engagement best practices, state and federal laws, policies, regulations and funding aimed at facilitating partnerships with your communities.
Massachusetts Legislative and Regulatory Update: Looking Back & Moving Forward
The Massachusetts Chemistry & Technology Alliance takes a look back at what has happened during the 2023-2024 legislative
session and what we can expect before it adjourns this summer. This session will also provide an update on new regulations, programs, policies and laws that could impact your operations.
